THE SUSTAINABLE HEALTH SOLUTION

Learn it. Live it. Make it yours.

Your roadmap through 12 educational sessions, connecting the dots between food, movement, and daily life. One thoughtful step at a time.

  1. Session 01

    Motivated to do well

Find your personal reasons for change, set two-week and six-week goals, and put your goal-tracking worksheet to work.

  2. Session 02

    Food groups & portion sizes

Practice putting balanced meals together, explore portion sizes, and gather ideas for everyday snacks.

  3. Session 03

    Meal timing

Explore how meal timing fits your routine, with general education about food and blood sugar. Individual medical needs belong with your healthcare provider.

  4. Session 04

    Food quality & reading labels

Learn to compare ingredients and read food labels. Use the green, yellow, and red light framework as a planning tool, with room for your preferences.

  5. Session 05

Eating out & on the go

Walk through typical restaurant menus and plan practical meal and snack choices for busy days, travel, and meals out.

  6. Session 06

    Working through barriers

Identify what gets in your way, make space for your own needs, and use planning and regular meals to support your habits.

  7. Session 07

    Exercise technique & flexibility

Learn stretching and flexibility techniques with example exercises and a focus on appropriate form. No exercise program can eliminate injury risk.

  8. Session 08

    Starting an exercise program

Explore heart-rate zones and workout examples, then use your assessment and exercise preferences to help plan appropriate activity.

  9. Session 09

    Foundations of core training

Practice basic core exercises with attention to posture and technique. Discuss modifications with your coach; persistent back pain needs clinical assessment.

  10. Session 10

    Building your core practice

Explore intermediate core exercises and example workouts, progressing when the movements are appropriate for you.

  11. Session 11

    Progressing with purpose

Explore more advanced core, upper-body, and lower-body exercises as appropriate, using your personalized Core & Flexibility Routine.

  12. Session 12

    Your next chapter

Review what you have learned and set nutrition and exercise goals for the year ahead, with a practical direction beyond these three months.

A LITTLE CLARITY BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Good questions.
Thoughtful answers.

Your free session is also a chance to ask anything that’s on your mind.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

Your starting point is the starting point. The initial assessment helps shape your plan around your experience, preferences, and goals. Tell Katy about any injuries or health concerns so you can discuss suitability and any medical clearance needed.

Can I do the plan from home?

Personal training is available in person in Chapel Hill or virtually. In your free session, discuss your location, equipment, and schedule so Katy can explain what is practical for you.

How much one-to-one time is included?

The core offer includes one 60-minute personal training session and one 30-minute nutrition counseling session each month, plus a personalized monthly workout and nutrition plan. The 12 educational topics and 12 recorded yoga sessions are additional resources, not 12 weekly private appointments. Other monthly packages may include more services.

Is the educational program included in a membership?

The Sustainable Health Solution educational program is included at no additional program charge when you commit to three months of a monthly package. It is also available as a standalone service. Ask Katy to confirm the current package options, standalone price, and exact inclusions.

Is this medical care or a prescribed diet?

This is fitness coaching and general nutrition education, not diagnosis, treatment, medical nutrition therapy, or a substitute for care from a licensed healthcare professional. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have dietary needs requiring clinical care, check with your healthcare provider before changing your exercise or eating routine.

What happens in the free session?

You can talk through your goals, ask questions, and explore whether the program is a good fit. Before enrolling, confirm the complete package price, three-month commitment, payment schedule, and cancellation or refund terms with Katy. Booking the free session does not enroll you in a paid plan.
